Essential Question
How can children enhance their vocabulary skills?
Summary:
Children will develop skills with activities such as letters of the week, words of the week, story time with books. Children will choose a letter and name a word that begin with that letter. Along with storytime children will recall what was mention the storybook. Children will learn differnent sounds along with identify letters with the associate it with words.

Building vocabulary-Children will build vocabulary skill by identify letters along with words. children will hear sounds, then repeat them back

Developed letter knowledge-children will be giving a letter of the week and identify words that begin with that letter
Making predictions
Tasks:
Children will place in small group time and giving a list of words.
During storytime, Children will recall what they read. A list of words will giving to students and parents take home
Be sure to include an opportunity for students to practice/employ a 21Ct or !gnite skill(see examples above)
Children can bring items from home and have show tell where children can express their ideals and thought to the classroom.
Lesson are differentiated according to child intersest.

How will the work be displayed publicly? Developing Phonemic awareness is important for many reasons. These skill will enhance children language and literacy skills. Children can express their views with a variety of words. The work could be display by using the internet. Teacher will speak to the parent daily. Give parents daily hand out materials.
Assessment:
Throught note taking in the classroom while childen are working in their areas, plus recording the their notes on the CORS sheet forms.
Children will be able to show and express in words what they did in the classroom.
Resources:
Letters along with sight words. Book reading. Hand outs to parents.

Reflection:
The children will able to learn and identify sounds with letters. During circle time the children will have storytime, and sing the alphabet song along with other language and literacy projects. Children will master the knowledge of identify letters, learnig sounds, and to identify words.
